Santa Cruz is located in the Monterey county, in the state of California.
This county is located in the South of San Francisco divided by two regions: Santa Clara and Santa Cruz, which is next to the ocean.
The Monterey County has a surface equal to 13 400 ha and the white wine is predominant with Chardonnay, Chenin and Johannisberg Riesling.
The region is very dry and a key success to make a good wine in the Monterey county is : irrigation.
